Under repair

Planning is already underway for the next stage in repairs.  The 250-year-old leadwork of the spire is leaking, accelerating decay to the 500-year-old main oak timbers.  

Any delay in dealing with this will only make matters worse.  That will also give the opportunity to restore the cockerel, temporarily housed in the Kirk, to the pinnacle of the spire.
