St. Johns Kirk is currently closed to visitors.
We re-open to visitors in March 2017; please check back for more information in the New Year.
Our aim is to keep the doors of St Johns open to the public during the months of May to the beginning of October from Monday to Saturday between the hours of 10am and 4pm. and on more limited hours throughout the rest of the year.
Official kirk events must be given priority therefore closure can occur at short notice. However we see this as part of our mission to people near and far and every effort is made to ensure that a warm welcome is offered.
Visitors come in to view the historical aspects, to have a general look around, to spend a few quiet moments or to recall previous visits. Written guides are available in eleven languages.
Guided Tours of the Kirk are offered to groups of visitors, by arrangements. If your group has a special interest, this can be taken into account.
Each tour usually lasts about an hour.
