The Kirk is in a pedestrian area in the centre of the City, bounded by South Street and High Street, and stands about 100m west of the River Tay.

If you are near either of the town-centre bridges over the River Tay you are very close - just look for the distinctive grey spire with the cockerel weather vane.

There are two multi-storey car parks close by, but access to St John's Square for vehicles is controlled by a permit system

Entry for Visitors  - 

The Kirk is a working Church, but is open to visitors whenever the Church Officer is present. However, if a morning service, funeral, or wedding service is in progress, visitors will be asked to wait until it finishes. Guided tours for groups can be arranged in advance. A charge of £2.00 per person is made and each tour usually lasts about 1 hour. The content can be varied to suit special interest groups - please ask!

St. John's Kirk is the venue for concerts and drama productions throughout the year, but especially during the Perth Festival of the Arts in May - to link to the festival web-site click here.

We make the Kirk available for - 

Weddings - Couples who wish to be married in the Kirk should make contact with the Locum Minister in the first instance.The fee for those who are not members is £375.

Choirs and orchestras. The charge is, at present, £375 to cover heating and lighting for an evening performance and 3 hours rehearsal time; also an attendance fee for the church officer. A piano is available at an extra cost of £75 and the group is responsible for having the piano tuned, if they so wish.
